INFLUENCE OF THE PROJECT “QUALITATIVE INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN” ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN THE PROJECT SCHOOLS

The study „Evaluation of the project influence on the development of inclusive education in project schools” was implemented from 2009 till 2011 in the project “Qualitative inclusive education for special needs children” (Education initiative centre, State Education content centre, Soros Foundation Latvia, more information in: http://www.iic.lv) with the aim to find out whether the project results brought changes in defined inclusive education indicators. The article analyzes how the cooperation of school’s pedagogues in promoting inclusive education in general comprehensive school has improved as a result of the project.

“Diagnosing” the Need or in “Need” of a Diagnosis? Reconceptualizing Educational Need

This chapter is based on compulsory school experiences of students diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and their parents in the educational context of Finland. Located in the theoretical framework of Disability Studies, the chapter aims to contribute to theory of inclusive education by initiating a new dialogue on conceptual foundations of inclusive schooling. ¿Coinciden las expectativas escolares de la familia y del profesorado acerca del alumnado de origen inmigrante?

Esta investigación pretende conocer las expectativas de futuro de familias inmigrantes y profesorado sobre los estudiantes de Educación Primaria en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco. El proceso de asentamiento de la primera generación de inmigrantes transnacionales en la última década pone de manifiesto la necesidad de seguir de cerca los procesos de incorporación de sus hijos/as en el nuevo país. Se han estudiado las expectativas de 302 familias inmigrantes y del profesorado tutor de sus hijos en referencia a logros académicos y profesionales, aprendizaje de lenguas y desarrollo de las relaciones sociales del alumnado. Repensant la formació inicial del professorat per a la diversitat lingüística i cultural a l'aula

Durant les últimes dècades els sistemes educatius europeus estan fent front a nombrosos reptes relacionats amb el tractament de la diversitat cultural i lingüística de l’alumnat. Per tal de poder afrontar aquesta diversitat es fa necessari impulsar plantejaments globals que s’adrecin al conjunt de la població amb la finalitat de construir una societat cohesionada. A l’article exposem algunes de les principals dificultats relatives a la formació inicial del professorat en quan a la gestió i al tractament de la diversitat lingüística i cultural, així com diferents projectes i enfocaments que pretenen establir noves directrius per a la seva formació competencial.
